East German Army Fallschirmjäger Uniform - Medium - Long

East German Army Fallschirmjäger (Paratrooper) Field Service Uniform. This was the standard Battle Dress uniform of the NVA's Airborne troops from 1967 to 1990. This is an original NVA issue para uniform jacket and trousers from the 1980's. Made of Strichtarn “Rain Camo” Poly/Cotton fabric with knit cuffs and collar, reenforced elbows, chest pistol pouch and sleeve pockets. Jacket shows field use but is in Good condition with traces of NCO or Officer Shoulder Boards that were sewn to the shoulders. Trousers are in Good Condition and feature Fallschirmjägermesser (Para Knife) pocket, waist pockets, front thigh pockets and reenforced knees. Jacket is marked size "sg 48" (Medium-Long) (US 38 Long) and year of manufacture code "T" (1985). Trousers are marked size " sg 48" (Medium-Long) (US 32 Long) and year of manufacture code "P" (1986). Both items have import stampings "Made in East Germany."
