WWII German military barrel protector 'Laufschutzer' was issued with every machine gun. A special 'Laufschutzer 42' was introduced when the MG42 was manufactured to hold the MG42 barrel. Used to protect the barrel and to store a spare barrel when the hot barrels were changed. These are all in very good condition. Some have war dates, maker stamps and waffenampt markings. Some have no markings. This lot was used in the Balkans after the war and were repainted by the Jugoslavians. These are in Very Good serviceable condition. Perfect for reenactors, collectors or MG shooter.
