These new reproduction canteens are made with new aluminum 1 liter bottles, new repro covers, leather straps and reproduction Aluminum cups. Canteens are new, clean and servicable. Very nice, well made reproduction Gebirgsjäger canteen. Strap's are made of strong full grain leather with authentic hardware. Same type of Canteein used by Wehrmacht and Waffen SS Mountain Troops. Brown wool cover color shades may vary from photos. We recommend cleaning the bottle and cap before use.

Some quality issues
The canteen is nice, but it was not prepared to be sale-ready. Several metal shavings were present in the cap and the canteen itself, especially around the canteen neck. The leather quality is fair but painted- bleeds off if it gets wet. Fine after a very thorough cleaning.
