Product Description
The 1957 Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross (Ritterkreuz) came about in the post war years due to Germany's strict laws prohibiting the wearing or display of the swastika. On 26 July 1957 the West German government authorized replacement Knight's Crosses with an Oak Leaf Cluster in place of the swastika, similar to the Royal Iron Crosses of 1813, 1870 and 1914. This allowed World War II Knight's Cross recipients the ability to display their awards in public without civil or political repercussion. These are very nice reproductions featuring sharp details and very nice frosted or antiqued silver plating. Comes with 10" of ribbon.
