New, original, sleeve patch for the Bundeswehr 23rd Gebirgsjäger Brigade (GebJgBrig 23). Gebirgsjäger are some of Germany's most elite troops, specialized in mountain, winter and desert warfare. The 23rd saw service in Somalia, former Yugoslavia, as well as Afghanistan as part of ISAF. Machine woven with distinctive edelweiss on a green back ground with white and red trim. Measures approximently 3" X 2.5". New and un-issued condition.
