The classification Badge of the National People's Army, colloquially classification clasps or Quali clip, were awarded by the National People's Army of the German Democratic Republic (GDR), from 1958 till 1990. Minister of National Defence Willi Stoph awarded these for the first time on January 6, 1958 for tank drivers of the NVA. In addition to performance awards, Best Achievement, Sharpshooter and military Sportabzeichen the classification badge belonged to the so-called "five soldiers Awards" of the NVA.

Classification clasp specialty diver naval
awarded on 31 March 1960 to 28 February 1963
The classification badge has the form of a silver-plated clasp, which is 63 mm wide and on both sides consists of five beams which taper outwardly. The average of the five beams is the widest. In the middle of the clip an oak leaf wreath can be seen, which has a diameter of about 25 mm and in its upper middle three enameled boxes shows the black-red-gold are designed. The middle red shows the national emblem of the GDR. In its lower part, a white oval frame can be seen, on which the granted power level can be seen. Within the oak wreath found in this clip, a diver with diving helmet , climbing a ladder, or in the water. The background is also shown here with vertical lines.
