DAK Tropical Low Boots

I ordered these boots as part of my DAK airsoft kit. I wore them once for a few minutes to test, then they sat in the box for a year before I got to actually use them. My feet are always super sore after playing with them, but I chalk that up to being part of the authentic WW2 experience. What definitely is not authentic (I hope) is that the sole to my left boot started coming off after my second game, and got worse by the end of the third. They're currently at a cobbler's having the soles completely replaced (With no hobnails. He doesn't have them, and the clicking and clacking on hard ground gives away your position anyway. Authentic? Sure, but I'll concede form to function happily in this case.) All of this to say my boots did not withstand "Years of field use" at all and that's really disappointing. Besides this major issue though the boots look great and appear durable otherwise. Make sure you buy boot wax and brushes to properly clean and care for the leather.
