These are a rare pair of early post war Czech Army y-straps produced from WWII Italian and German equipment. After the surrender of Italian forces in 1943 the German military seized all Italian military depots under their control and sent that equipment to Czechoslovakia. After the war much of that Italian/German equipment was re-issued or cannibalized by the bankrupt Czech military under Soviet control. These y-straps have German metal hardware from canteen snap clips as well as light weight y-strap hooks along with German leather and Italian grey/green leather components. A very interesting piece of Eastern Bloc equipment. One pair only.
