East German Camo Combat Pack w/Suspenders

Both packs received appear to be NOS w/ expected “storage wear” (minimal- slight oxidation on metal fasteners which is to be expected) in overall excellent condition. All straps included as advertised. These will work quite well as utility packs when larger packs are unnecessary. The lining will work well to keep contents dry and the canvas certainly seems to have military grade durability. These Cold War Era packs will work quite nicely for a long time- put them to use- that’s what they’re built for- more so than most “modern” consumer goods.

In addition to the pack I rounded my order off with a belt and bread bag. I will be back for more surplus!

Let's start off with the basics: this bag is a great value for the price. I've seen it offered in other places for twice the price, in some places it's close to this price point but it's missing the strapping or the suspenders or both. Once again, Hessen Antique provides a solid product at a great price. I've yet to be disappointed with the quality of any of the their products. Second, the bag is smallish, about the size of my Polish bread bag. It has no internal dividers or pockets or anything like that. Third, it has the side and top straps for the zeltbahn or a jacket, which I was not expecting at all. Look, if you're already buying a few things, throw this in your cart. You can't find a cheaper backpack in Walmart, and this one will last for years, plus it's cool looking. Add some shoulder straps and you can turn it into a shoulder bag. Mine came in very good shape.
