Fallschirmjaeger Splinter B Camo Helmet Cover

The cover is nice, very much like an original. But, getting it on takes a lot of effort. Some of the fabric actually ripped. I have a 71, but, this is obviously for a 68. But, working with it and using some force, I managed to stretch it a bit so that it fits better.

The helmet is very well made and is very good quality. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is that it is VERY tight to put it on. I had to use a piece of wire to pull the hooks over the rim of the helmet (I bought my helmet from here too). The cover does not cover the helmet all the way to the bottom, there is about 3/8" to 1/2" of the helmet exposed all along the bottom. Overall, it's still a good product.

I did a lot of research on these comparing the various sellers products against period photos I could locate both online and in some books I own and this color scheme was the closest match that I could find. The product when it arrived is extremely well made with reinforcements on the hooks that no one else has. Putting it on my repro helmet was extremely difficult as it is a tight fit and you need a small hook tool to pull the last two or three hooks over the edge but it looks great.

Great reproduction helmet cover better than the cheap Chinese ones.
