New, from the Japanese firm Shoei, the inert replica FG 42 Type 1 Fallschirmjägergewehr. This is a full size working replica of the famous WWII German FG42 Type assault rifle is made of metal with real wood forward hand stock. FG 42, known informally as the "early model" or "Model I". Characteristic of the early models was the bipod placement (hinged to the barrel collar in front of the handguard), forged receiver, ribbed buttstock and the sharply angled pistol grip. Engineered like the original, and operates like the original: Working Bolt and trigger, removable magazine (magazine has no internal spring.) Muzzle of barrel has red plug (required by law.) Perfect for display, Fallschirmjäger reenactors, these are brand new and imported directly from the Shoei Factory in Japan.
