Each tab indicates individual soldiers blood type for faster blood transfusion identification by medics and hospital staff if the combatant is wounded and unable to speak. Theses tabs are made of high strength flexible PVC rubber and have glow in the dark lettering as well as machine sewn hook-loop backings for easy attachment and removal to different field uniforms and gear.
