German Style OD Small Mountain Rucksack With Leather Straps - New

If you have owned the original Bundeswehr rucksacks you’ll know how thick the leather should be. In this case, I swear I could tear it myself. Other than that the fabric is pretty good.

I (5ft.10) own a “German Style Black Small Mountain Rucksack (SKU S14016002)”. The lower part of the shoulder straps are attached to an odd location and it make me very uncomfortable to carry regardless the loads. So I decided to buy this pack” German Style OD Small Mountain Rucksack(SKU S14016101)”. The pack is slightly larger than the above mentioned and looks good. The material and manufacturing qualities are what you expect from a $65 class backpack. No complains. Now I can comfortably hike with 11LB. loads for hours. One concern: a part of shoulder strap is made of relatively thin leather. So I do not how many years it will last if I continue to carry heavy stuff (~12Lb.).
