Replica WWII Japanese Army Type 95 NCO Shin-Gunto Katana Sword with NCO Sword Belt and Dispatch Pouch.  This NCO sword was made in the 1950-60's in response to the growing demand for Japanese War Souvenirs.  While not made to the same level of quality as the original Japanese examples, it is still well made. The sword and scabbard are well marked, with the correct arsenal markings and serial number. Blade lock is functional, and the grip is the correct aluminum. This is sword is definitely a replica that was made to deceive. Sword also has the correct leather NCO tassel.  This is a fine reproduction from the Tokyo firm Nakata Shoten.  Included with the Sword is a Japanese Army NCO sword belt with dispatch pouch.  Belt is 105 cm long (Medium size.) These two items were made in Japan the 1960's as movie props.  Overall a very nice replica and display piece.
