This is a new full size inert replica of the M16A1 standard-issue service rifle for U.S. forces starting in the early 1960's into the 1980's and still exists today in different modified forms. This "Black Rifle" was originally designed as a replacement for the M1 carbine and saw extensive use by GIs, Marines and other Allied countries throughout the Vietnam conflict and the Cold War. Perfect alliterative for display, military vehicle owners and reenactors. Cocking mechanism functions and magazine is removable. Note that ammo clip is not functional. Muzzle of barrel has red plug (required by law).
