Product Description
Pre-war Greatcoat worn during the invasion of Poland, France, Russia and even used to the end of the war by all German ground forces. Coat is made of extremely authentic, high quality wool and features a Bottle Green collar. It is a double-breasted with 12 original buttons, French cuffs, two curved flap front pockets and raw edge hem. The back has the full length pleat which ends in a long central vent that can be closed by four small buttons. The belting arrangement across the back, combined with two small button tabs on the outer back give the illusion of a triple back pleat. The lining is made of the correct grayish brown cotton linen twill and all 20 buttonholes are the correct "corded keyhole" type. Buttons and loops on the shoulders allow for the appropriate shoulder straps to be attached. COATS ARE CUT TO FIT OVER TUNICS. ORDER YOUR REGULAR TUNIC/JACKET SIZE.

It's a pretty solidly built coat that's proven to be warm with a good sweater under it. The bottom of the coat had threads coming out but other than that i love it

Great coat as always from Hessen. I wanted the coat to be a little big, so I went a size up on this one. I have several coats from this place.
