Product Description

New reproduction model 1887/88 ammunition pouches. Made of top grade smooth tanned leather like the originals. First seeing use in the Prussian war this style of rifle pouch saw continued use well into WWI by engineers, foot artillery, Signals, Support Troops as well as Landwehr and Landsturm troops. Each pouch has canvas dividers to carry individual rounds for the Gewehr 88, Karabiner 88 and Karabiner 98 . Authentic construction and hardware. Insert divider and color may vary from photo. Sold in a pair of two.

A fine addition for a WW1 reenactor or collector of reproductions. These have vast space for ammunition, live or blank, and are tough and durable. Best used for over the top.

Been waiting a long time for these to come back in stock. And yeah, immediately ordered. Best price, set as a pair - better then anyone else for a single pouch. Quality is good, matches up very well to originals. Perfect to go with my Commission Rifle. Arrived fast. Hessen comes through!

Works for 11mm / 43 Mauser, but smaller than real thing

I have been using these pouches to shoot my 43 Mauser (11mm Mauser) hand loads for my 1887 Amberg 71/84. I am able to fit these large blackpowder cartridges in the pouches no problem. However, I have an original pouch, and it is about 20% bigger than this one, so these seem to be a bit smaller.
