Greatcoat weight & size
Righty-o' I'm a 6-ft tall, skinny fellow, so I ordered the Small (shoulder-wise) and I'm pleased to report it worked out The coat reaches down to my mid-shin, and while the sleeves are on the short side, they have more than enough cuff length to be modified by a tailor, being 5 inches long. The exterior hip-pockets are a good 7-8 inches deep The interior left-hand breast pocket is the same. The back has a securing belt with two buttons, being a lanky fellow, I opted to button it on it's closest link and it's form-fittingly snug. This coat doesn't mess when it comes to physical weight, way heavier than modern coats and will definitely snap weaker coat-hangers. Stick to using pegs or wood & steel hangers. The collar has a mind of it's own and keeps wanting to pop itself upwards when you first put it on, but that's easily solved with the flat of your hand. My only gripe is there is some loose thread around the rim of the pockets. Final score: 4/5
