Product Description
Original U.S. Army Mermite Insulated Food Container. These were manufactured from the Late 1950's to the 1980's. This one is dated 1982. It consists of an insulated outer shell and three internal containers. The internal containers have a capacity of 1.5 gallons of food per container. Therefore, all three containers can hold 4.5 gallons. Highly insulated unit is made for military use in order to keep food or fluids hot or cold. Shows wear but fully intact and 100% functional. Looks like one of the handles was replaced at some point.
