Original Heer (Army) visor cap as worn by an Infantry Officer. Constructed of high quality Feldgrau gabardine wool, this cap was made by Erel, the highest quality at the time. The visor cap is made in the "Sattelform" and has a set of matching silver bullion insignia. The eagle was removed after the war but was later re-sewn. The sweat band inside is nice and solid with Erel markings. The diamond inside is intact and shows traces of the Erel marking as well. The visor is salty and shows field use, but is solid. The hat is piped in white piping indicating service in the Infantry. The hat shows no mothing or other damage, just age and wear. Size is 58 (7-1/4). Overall a very nice, Original WWII German Infantry Officer visor cap!
