Product Description
The Ottoman "Gallipoli" star often refereed to as the " Iron Crescent" by Turkey's European allies, was instituted by the Sultan Mehmed Reshad V. in 1915 for bravery in battle and was also awarded to German and Austrian personnel serving in that theater until the end of the war. Our reproduction order features five pointed star in red enamel, with a raised crescent with the cipher of the Sultan in the center. Measures approximately 2" wide.
