WWI Stone-grey Puttees (Pair)

The puttee has arrived safely. It's really warm and fits my legs well.

The puttees are great so far. First thing I noticed were the edges were surged over which helps with the edges not becoming a weak point. I own surplus and other recreation puttees and wear them as part of everyday outfits. The edges usually give out with lose threads and losing shape, so having the edges gone over with a serger is definitely a plus I believe in the long run. Length wise it is just as long as you expect for a WW1 puttee. The material itself is a nice grey that is identical to the picture. The strap to tie the puttees down are thin and wide. This could be a plus or minus depending on the person. As a plus compared to surplus puttee's the wider strap is better when wearing them often, a few surplus puttes I own the straps are so thin they roll into itself and might as well not be there as they dig into the pants/skin if you tie them too tight. These are not going to dig in as the material is nice and wide. I would prefer a thicker strap material, but honestly happy to have em.
