The Grand Cross of the Iron Cross (Großkruez) was re-instituted in 1939 by Adolf Hitler and only awarded to Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring during the Second World War on July 19, 1940. The Grand Cross was originally created by King Frederick William III of Prussia in 1813 and again in 1870 by Kaiser Wilhelm I. The Grand Cross was awarded for outstanding military valor. These are very nice reproductions featuring sharp details and very nice frosted or antiqued silver plating. Award may have minor nicks and chips to the black finish. Ribbon not included.
