New, original, shoulder boards for a Hauptmann (Captain) in the Infantry. Infantry officers serve in Jäger, Fallschirmjäger, KSK and Panzergrenadier units as well as the the Elite Bundeswehr Wachbataillon. These are the slip on style worn on a service shirt (long or short sleeve) and the Greatcoat. Shoulder boards feature a grey body with three (3) silver pips, surrounded by silver twist cord and "Jäger" green piping. These come direct from one the Bw's leading suppliers of uniform insignia in Germany. Limited quantities. New and un-issued condition. Made in Germany. Sold in pairs.
The Wachbataillon (full name: Wachbataillon beim Bundesministerium der Verteidigung (WachBtl BMVg) (Guard battalion at the Ministry of Defence) is the German Bundeswehr's elite drill unit. The Wachbataillon is the largest battalion of the German forces with about 1,800 soldiers, split in two garrisons in Berlin and Siegburg. It consists of nine companies and belongs to the Streitkräftebasis (Joint Service Support Command) of the Bundeswehr.
