Original West German Army (Bundeswehr) M38 Gas Mask Canister used to carry the M54 Gas Mask by Bundeswehr soldiers until replaced in 1962. These cansiters were exact copies of the WWII M38 as the M54 mask was basically an updated M38 mask. This canister has 90% of it's a original paint and complete straps. It is maker marked and dated 1956. This model cansiter is probably the rarest of all because it was only manufactured in limited numbers before being replaced by the larger M54 Canister. Overall in Very Good, solid condition.
