In October 1962 the US Government set down a specification for infantry watches which became known as GG-W-113 this was MIL-W-3818B which replaced MIL-W-3818A from March 1956.
MWC has built a watch which is indistinguishable in appearance from the original watches which were made by Hamilton, Bulova and Benrus during the Vietnam war. This watch uses a unique quartz movement with sweep second hand which means the watch looks to all intents and purposes like a mechanical watch because the hand sweeps rather than moves in 1 second increments like a standard quartz model, the big plus is that the watch achieves modern levels of accuracy whilst retaining the same appearance as the traditional mechanical variants. The watch is supplied with two military webbing straps 1 x Khaki and 1 x Black. The originals of these watches are now almost impossible to find in good sound condition and this watch is a very convincing recreation of the classic US Army watch from the Vietnam and Cold War era.
