Product Description
Reproduction Japanese M1938 (Type 99) Backpack. Also known as the Octapuss Pack. Tan cotton canvas rucksack for enlisted men. Japanese military slang referred to this model as the Octopus-leg (Tako-Ashi) Backpack, because of the many tie-down straps sewn-onto the pack looking like tentacles. This exact copy of the WWII Japanese Backpack was made about 15 years ago by the Famous Tokyo company Nakata Shoten. It was purchased in Tokyo as a sample for a film production and has never been used. It is in Excellent Condition, and perfect for collectors and reenactors.
