The famous Totenkopf "death head" insignia first appeared in the Prussian army with Husaren-Regiment Nr.5 during the reign of Frederick the Great. In 1808, when the regiment was reformed into Leib-Husaren Regiments Nr.1 and Nr.2, the Totenkopf remained a part of the uniform. Worn on the Visor cap (Schirmmützen). State cockades are available and are each sold separately.
