M36 Stone-grey Wool Trousers (Steingrau Tuchhose)

I'm 6' even, 185 lbs, fit build. I first ordered these in size 36 as that's my waist size. They fit perfectly in the waist but they were pretty snug in the thighs and crotch. I exchanged them for size 38 trousers and that resolved my issue completely. I advise anyone ordering these trousers to either round up or order a size up from what you normally wear unless you just have a really skinny build. Remember the waist can be cinched down in the back and hemming the leg length is pretty cheaply done at most alteration shops! Good product, but can run a little tight if your thighs are larger. Getting the size up from your waist size will net a great fit once washed and shrunk. But the other issue is the unfinished edges. Yes, they are unfinished on other repro brands, and were in many original issued items. To ensure that the wool keeps on the edges and frills don't appear, it helps to sew the edges of the waistline and adjuster belt. Overall good product that you will have to care for, but that makes it more authentic. I've been wearing them for daily clothing and it keeps you warm in the fall, winter, and spring months, and can get you by in the summer. The sewing can, and will, come undone after a lot of wear and tear, so just ensure you know how to mend clothing. Recommended wear.

I have genuine Finnish wool trousers that look similar to these, but they are very itchy. The wool in the hessen M36 trousers I could wear against bare skin all day. The material is excellent quality.
