Product Description
The last field service clothing of the GDR was that of the uniform wearing trial 85-90. The Uniformtrageversuch "UTV" was developed from 1985 and produced in limited quantities for testing with the intent to field the uniform in 1991. Very few NVA units ever received the UTV uniforms for testing. It is very similar in cut to the jacket of the US Battle Dress Uniform of the 1970s/80s, except for the sleeve pockets. Only small, flat, gray plastic buttons were sewn on; there is no longer an inside or pistol pocket. Camouflage loops are completely missing. Both Jacket and Trousers are marked 'k 44' (Medium Short)(30-32"). Year of manufacture code: N (1989). Overall in Excellent, Unissued condition. These are the most difficult NVA Strichtarn uniforms to find and a must for any serious NVA collector. One only.
