Sniper's Badge (Scharfschützenabzeichen) was instituted on August 20, 1944 and awareded to Soldiers who served as snipers. It was worn on the right sleeve above all the other insignia. The award was bestowed in three classes. The first class (with gold trim) was awarded for 60 kills.
