Every Company in the German Military had (and still has) it's own Supply Room (Kleiderkammer). Enlisted Soldiers could "sign-out" dress uniforms and visor caps from the Kleiderkammer when they went on leave or had to attend ceremonies or other duties that required a dress uniform. These caps were not the same quality as private purchase caps, but they were still "Deutsche Wertarbeit" German Quality.
We found another historic hat maker in Germany that could make a German Quality visor cap, using original period patterns and modern material and processes to produce a visor cap that meets military specs but at an affordable price. Our new Kleiderkammer caps do just that. These German made Waffen SS enlisted caps feature authentic field grey wool top, satin lining, leather sweat band, Black wool cap band, white wool piping, genuine leather chinstrap, and fine quality metal insignia.

Excellent hat for the price point.
If this one ages/wears like my old Wehrmacht visor cap did It'll be a fantastic hat indeed. My head measures 58cm exactly, usually I have to order a 59 for a comfortable fit but I've found that with visor caps from Hessen it's better to order my actual head size for comfort.
