The Krim Shield (Krimschild) was institued in on 23 July 1942 and was awared to all members of the armed forces who were engaged in the fighting in the Crimea for at least three months. The shield was worn on the upper left sleeve of the service and dress uniforms. These are the finest quality, die struck pieces featuring superb detail on a Field-Grey Wool backing.
