Replica MP40 (Shoei display model)

This model is great. Tomio and his team did a fantastic job in accurately coping the most iconic German weapon of WWII. They now have another model that will serve them well in allowing them the opportunity to copy multiple variations that the Germans made upon this weapon from its inception…to the last versions produced. Now, in case someone thinks I’m being a shill for Shoei, let me now express my areas of dissatisfaction with this model. The barrels famous front hooded sight does not line up with the rear sight. This just isn’t my model (I purchased two), it’s all of them due to the barrel in its casting process has its locator notches misaligned with those on the receivers Trunion! I would have thought for sure that they would have caught this early on and corrected it. This is something that I will have to fix…and it might not bother everyone. Also, the folding stock is wobbly! Many original MP40’s had this occur through constant use….but this is BRAND NEW! Again, they could…and should have made this better! All said, it’s a great replica…but the two things I listed will be on everyone’s new expensive replica…and hopefully will be corrected if they do future renditions of these!

This replica MP40 is excellent, I have always wanted an original but prices for those are way out of my range. This fills the void of owning a real one, or even a deactivated one that would cost much more than this. The attention to detail by Shoei is incredibly good, and if even disassembles like the real one. Overall very impressive piece!

This replica MP40 made by Shoei of Japan is the best hands down of my 50 years of collecting replica guns of all types. They are master craftsman of museum quality down to the markings and construction materials. The fit and finish of this replica is better than a real MP40 right from the factory, pure perfection. They say if you truly want quality you have to pay for it, well this is well worth the price and will only appreciate in value.

The price may seem steep for a replica. I had second thoughts after I placed my order. But, I am glad I got it because this has to be the best replica ever made, period. It is perfect down to the smallest details to include markings & proof stamps. Font, size, placement, etc. The weight, materials, & feel are that of a real MP40. Bolt, trigger, magazine lock & release,stock, muzzle nut, it all works. Buy it!! I never thought I'd buy any replica for more than $200. This one is worth it if you want to put your German WW2 display over the top.
