Product Description

Original WWII US Army Air Force Throat Microphone made by Universal Micropone, Ingelwood, CA. The microphone comes fitted with an elastic neckband (M-199) and integral wiring loom with PL-291 2-pin jackplug. The throatmicrophone is in excellent condition and the strap is still pliable and maintains elasticity. Many AAF oxygen masks were worn without an integral microphone and these throatmicrophones were used instead. They were also used by aircrews wearing headsets, often over 'crusher' caps. Excellent, unissued condition.
